New applicant / have not previously received grant from Karibu?

Karibu currently does not have any open calls for applications for new grantee partnerships.

We have a limited number of smaller, “new partnership grants” – where applications for consideration are accepted by invitation only. If you would like to inform us about a specific project or initiative that you think is relevant (and fits the eligibility criteria and focus of Karibu’s grants), you are welcome to fill out a short note of interest within Karibu’s grantmaking system.

Current / previous grantees can find more information about grant programs below.

Grants in 2025

Karibu is transitioning to a permanent participatory grantmaking model for a large part of our grants (“Africa Grants”). We are currently working to implement the new models into our structures, and thank you for your patience and understanding as we transition in our systems.

For current or previous grantees only: If you have previously received a grant from Karibu and would like to apply in 2025, you can do so in Karibu’s grant management system below. Previous “KNRG” (Africa Grants) are asked to apply via the Africa Grant Program when it opens for applications.

Karibu has three primary grantmaking models, all which aim to meet the various needs of our partner networks in their bold efforts for a more just world.

Below you will find important information that you should read carefully before submitting an application via our Grant Management System (GMS).
